Overview of New Composite Cement Blanket
The new composite cement blanket is a needle-punched cement waterproofing blanket, composed of two (or three) layers of geotextile fabric with specialized cement in between. When exposed to water, it undergoes hydration and hardens into a thin, waterproof, fire-resistant, and durable concrete layer.
Made from a 3D fiber matrix woven from polyethylene and polypropylene, it contains a specially formulated dry concrete mix. No concrete mixer is needed during on-site installation—simply water it or immerse it in water to trigger hydration. Once cured, the fibers reinforce the concrete, preventing cracks.
